I plan on linking to this forum directly from www.vandergraafgenerator.co.uk so that it is easy to find. Yahoo groups will be closing shortly but as there was no consensus as to a replacement, I decided to set this up. PH/VdGG fans were divided fairly equally between Facebook lovers and haters. Anyway, this can be used if required and I will try to post anything of interest. Phil.

Hi Phil, thanks for creating this forum. This is probably better than my suggestion for an English section as part of the already exiting French forum. And having an forum is much better than the Yahoo site, which was rather hard to oversee. My first question would be if it is possible to get some sub-sections here, a similar structure like in this French forum: peterhammill.xooit.com/index.phpMaybe not as much sections, but some to make the forum easier to survey.

Is anyone else having trouble logging in/registering? When I try to either log in (I'm already a member of another ProBoards site) or register, I get the following message:
Oops, there was an error! Invalid request token / possible request forgery (error 1). If you received this message in error, please go back, refresh, and try again.
I tried a few times and got the same message.

Much better than FB! I know "forums" are not as popular as in the past when many artists had their own, but in this case I think it's a good idea....lets all make it work!

Cheers Phil, this will be a great place to keep up to scratch with new events etc. Was on the yahoo group and feel there has been a void since it closed. Don't post often but like to lurk and keep up to date.

Hah, that's quite a time ...
Do you by chance eventually remember parts of the setlist,
It was at the LSE. I was on a month's Insurance course up in the city. A few of us bonded (I remember one mate was from Derby and another from Ipswich) and we used to go out on the razzle in the evenings. Somehow we found out about the gig but couldn't afford the tickets so we gatecrashed (someone let us in through a side window). Peter Hammill leapt on the stage dressed entirely in black with a huge silver buckle and sang "I am the Necromancer". From that moment I was hooked !
