Thank's Phil for arranging this forum! I'm not on Facebook but been on the email list like forever, but rarely contributing the last ten years or so. I'm curious about the Amorphous Androgynous album, We persuade ourselves we are immortal, but haven't bought it yet. I was hoping for some reviews to appear, but not found much. Considering the participator on the album Hammill, Weller etc) it should be interesting. Has anyone heard it? Would be nice to read a review.

Hello, I received my CD 3 days before and I like it much. Already the first song (title track) is worth buying it imho. theaa.bandcamp.com/

There is some of Jim Christopulos's drumming on it. A good enough reason to buy it!

I bought the digital download last week and have listened once so far. Like all good music I have to give it a few more listens before I "get it" but it's a wonderfully diverse suite of music, and very well produced as well. Definitely worth a go.

Thank's all, I'll buy it. The soundclip is promising enough!

I have the vinyl LP plus the remixes CD. I loved the album on first hearing and had it on repeat the whole first day I received it and played it several times since. The CD hasn't grabbed me quite so much (but then there's less Hammill, so what do you expect?) but I'll persevere as it often takes a few listens before something grows on me.
Certainly a decent enough addition to the catalogue of Hammill collaborations, and totally different to In Amazonia (which I also love).

Amorphus A. + PH: great, great album. Gorgeous, terrific space rock with floydian touch and complex production. But above all ... the VOX! This man, in his seventies, doesn't lose faculties

Well my copies finally arrived yesterday. Whilst adding it to my discogs someone left a short review: 'Bellissimo disco. Prog space rock fantastico consiglio davvero l’ascolto. Peter hammill una garanzia' Although my Italian is not that great i couldn't agree more. PH vocals are featured on two tracks. Lyrics and vocals on the title track are fantastic. In the second track 'psych recap' the vocals are, err, recapped but with total different vibe. Fine addition to the catalogue I think. And the LP has an inner sleeve with a great drawing (or photoshop) of our man shouting at wat looks like Charon taking the deceased to Hades across the river Styx. (or maybe it's Pratchett's DEATH).

So there's a bit more going on now regarding this album; Jim has interviewed Gaz Cobain and live streaming will kick off on May 21st. There is also a "teaser" video. Look out for Jim. All links are near the top of the front page at www.vandergraafgenerator.co.uk

Thanks for the interview, great read. Admittedly, I haven't got around to getting this yet.
One thing the interview confirms what I already thought: NG - tw*t !
