Were I to choose the set (if there was only one show)...
1. Louse or Black Room (realistically they won't do both) 2. The Sleepwalkers 3. All that Before 4. Meurglys III 5. Go Intermission 6. Alfa Berlina 7. La Rossa 8. Lifetime 9. Gog 10. Over the Hill
11. Lemmings (encore)
Feel free to disagree! Phil.

Lemmings never fails to surprise. I personally think Still Life is the absolute peak of VdGG and live it’s simply devastating.

Actually I have heard Lemmings so often live now, on all these old and new live boots, that I'm fed up with it, while I meanwhile enjoy the studio version more than ever. Others I have heard live too often are Scorched Earth and La Rossa, while it seems I never get tired of Man-Erg or Arrow.

I thought that the setlist for the RFH reunion show was pretty flawless and was glad to have been there to hear it performed live. If i wanted, i could certainly quibble about this or that being/not being included but it covered a lot of ground--all of it good, as far as i'm concerned.

Nutter Alert would have to be in there for me. One of my absolute favourites since they reformed.

Together with Every Bloody Emperor one of my favourite VdGG tracks.

A dream setlist will always be defined by the songs you wish to hear. I think the VDGG setlists are not created in function of what the audience might want to hear, but by what the artists enjoy performing. It would be enlightening to hear from the band members why some songs are chosen or not. Do they choose songs they like to play because they are still challenging to perform? Do some songs not make it for a setlist because they are “bored” by them, or because they are too challenging to perform live? What would the personal dream setlist be of Peter, Hugh and Guy (chosen as individual, not in function of the group)?
