I think Bataclan in one word is the correct spelling. At least meanwhile.

Correct. It is and always has been "Bataclan"--very famous venue.

Ok, but on the ticket it is in one word, and as far as I remember in all the articles about the 2015 assault it was written in one word. Also on the French Wiki page. It says there that it was once written Ba-ta-clan after the name of the operetta by Jacques Offenbach.
The other one with hyphen.

Maybe they changed the name on the sign outside within the last 20 years, which would cover when VDGG played there in 2005. This is the first time i've seen it rendered that way.

My guess is that the difference is only in the sign outside but it's still widely known to those that don't live near it as Bataclan. Gong played a very famous gig there almost exactly 50 years ago to the day that wound up on many albums in different forms and it was always listed as one word on the album covers. Their website has it as one word (at the top and below where they discuss the history). Actually, there it's written as Le Bataclan: www.bataclan.fr/en/It's probably not the best idea to have a name that's inconsistent depending on where one sees it. But as long as ticket holders know where they're going the night of the show and the bands that play there are interesting, that's what's important.
