I've just been sorting out some old books and came across "The Lemming Chronicles" by David Shaw-Parker which I read about 25 years ago. It's a critical appreciation of the music, concerts and recordings of Peter Hammill and VdGG from 1969-1993. Has anybody else read it? I'm just about to start on it again, a quarter of a century later!

I wouldn't say that it's a critical appreciation; it's more how the music intertwined with the life of the author. Somehow that sounds familiar ....

Yes, I read it when it was published and enjoyed it.

Yes, it's a good read, but you come away thinking that Shaw-Parker's obsession with the band - and Hammill - verged on the creepy.

Yes but being a 'fan' often borderlines with being creepy, Nutter Alert or Energy Vampires examples of the extreme. I'm sure we've all had our moments.
I bought a copy directly from DSP in those early days of the interweb.. he seemed rather personable and rather uncreepy
