Hot on the heels of Glen Colson's book comes another
Strat! The Charismatic Life And Times Of Tony Stratton Smith by Chris Groom published on June 11 by Wymer Publishing.
This should be interesting

I have just finished reading Strat ! It was a really interesting read, Charisma was always my favourite label and the book is an excellent record of his life and times and of course his contribution to the music world. Without his vision and love of music I not sure if VdGG would have been allowed the space to create the music they did, or even if they would have continued as a band, who knows.
The book spends more time on some of the other Charisma artists than VdGG and for me there is not so much new info about VdGG as I had hoped for but nevertheless lots of other interesting stories and I am glad I bought the book.
I hadn't played Time to Burn for a long time but playing it again after reading the book I appreciate it a lot more now !
