Okay, so we've got this new place (thanks Phil!)...I know it's not going to be a high volume place like SHTV but before things get even a little cluttered perhaps some ideas about forum structure should be bantered about....sub-forums etc.
An area for general forum business is always a good idea, a place to put stuff that doesn't fit elsewhere....like this initial forum?
Separate sub-forums for VdGG and pH stuff perhaps? Sub-forum for other VdGG/pH related/collaborative artists Sub-forum for non VdGG/pH music discussions?
Sub-forum for off-topic stuff, general odds and ends, fun stuff.
Lastly, the always difficult part....politics...it always comes up. Do we avoid it? Do we make it another subform that can be ignored by those that just want to talk music and do not wish to discuss it here?
That's my initial 2 pennies worth....anyone want to add (or subtract?) to that, keeping it as easy as possible for the owner/moderator to handle?
Cheers everyone.

Perhaps a sub-forum for records or songs produced by PH and all the members of VDGG. Sorry to say i'm a little lost outside Ramdom Hold.

Personally I think that we can just leave politics out of it completely.

Personally I think that we can just leave politics out of it completely. Because P.H. is a very unpolitical songwriter? Strange!

Hello VDGG comrades!

When I said that we should keep politics out of it, I obviously meant one's personal opinions on subjects such as Frexit, opposite sex marriage, guinea pig coursing, parrot hunting, genocide and other contentious stuff like that. Discussing PH's songs is obviously allowed and to be encouraged!

Discussing PH's songs is obviously allowed and to be encouraged! OK with that! Check. I was just thinking that song was about George W. Bush and Iraq and all that. You never know who's going to feel offended by what, but I think we can use common sense and consideration and avoid all that crap. Cheers, Bill

What if we wish to discuss songs like "Every Bloody Emperor" ;-) No political stant intended, but ....... July 8th 2005 VdGG at Shepherds Bush Empire: VdGG had just released Present and performed Every Bloody Emperor. Peter introduced the track by doing a hilarious impression of Tony Blair, complete with grin, saying "I told you I was right". When they came to do "Killer", the audience joined in enthusiastically and Peter looked both stunned and delighted - it must have been the nearest he'd ever got to Rock 'N' Roll (sorry, Rock 'N' Role). It was a great gig, my enjoyment only marred by a militant young Irish fellow who insisted on standing right in front of me throughout, blocking my view, and after I commented, every time I moved he moved too. Cheers, fellow, if you're reading this.

I always thought that he was talking about Tony Blair. Phil.

I have activated the Calendar feature on this forum and will add the dates for the UK tour. What this will do is create a thread for each date so that we can discuss the specific gigs and any news. It will be best to wait until nearer the time before adding the other dates.
