Wow! Absolutely amazing. Really looking forward to the friday-concert in Oslo. Last (and only) time they played here in Norway was on february 28th 1977. About 18 years before I was born. Not in my wildest dreams did I imagined that I would experience VdGG.

Last (and only) time they played here in Norway was on february 28th 1977.
I have that concert as a flac file, and listened to it quite often over the last months. One of the best VdGG audience recordings of the 70s.
This tour from early 77 was also a very special one, with many songs the band did not perform again. Very different setlist compared to 1976 and to the songs from the 2nd half of 1977.
The new album was Over and it was the Hammill, Evans, Potter, Smith line-up:
Crying Wolf Lost And Found Rock And Rôle Arrow My Room The Siren Song Time Heals When She Comes Urban Last Frame

What a tremendous gig in Stockholm. Every time you watch VdGG it feels absolutely life changing. And what an encore to finish with a killer version of Still Life!! Retirement? I don't think so. Get back soon!!!

Would you be able to share this recording? I like that setlist

A copy of this recording would be wonderful, if at all possible

Thanks Lighthouse for the link - that's excellent. My first VDGG boots were all universally unlistenably awful, and the bonus tracks on the remasters were no better - but the best of them (like these) are wonderful. Together with the BBC Sessions and the various videos + paris live we've got some great stuff. (I might brave Vital again at some point, but perhaps not!)

Sadly I don’t download as I have said in my previous posts. I do miss the contact trades we used to do with the Pawn Hearst from Mike in Canada. But I’ve managed to have three October recordings 25, 28 and 29th so I’m missing The Beautiful Days Festival 22 August and 27 October Stockholm. Is anybody out there willing to trade with me.
